Photos by Jonelle Bobak/The News Herald Three girls from Burke county have 100 days to train wild, "untouched" Mustangs. Sidney Mull, 17, Taylor Bryant, 16, Gracie Buchanan, 12, all students in Burke County Public Schools are participating in the Extreme Mustang Makeover. They hosted their first Mustang Mixer on Monday evening at Lamb Farm to show the progress they have made with each Mustang.
Photos by Lisa Wall/The News Herald A native to the foothills area, Chad Triplett, entertained residents Friday night during the TGIF Concert Series held on the Historic Courthouse lawn. The free performances, sponsored by Morganton Main Street are held every Friday in May and June from 7-10 p.m.
Several Grace Ridge residents took to the treetops on Tuesday at the ropes course and zip line on the campus of Western Piedmont Community College.
