Thieves steal car, other items from car wash, auto detailing business

Thieves hit a local business in the early-morning hours of Jan. 13, stealing a vehicle and leaving the owners with property damage.

Thieves went to the Golden Car Wash and Auto Detaining at 19 S. Sterling St., Morganton, and took a 1994 Nissan Altima worth $2,500, a DeWalt pressure washer worth about $1,000, tools worth $300 to remove tires, a DeWalt cordless drill worth $99, a flashlight worth about $30, a gasoline pressure test kit worth about $60 and a set of Craig pocket hall jigs worth $150. Other items that were taken include a Winnie the Pooh throw worth $40 and a shrine Woo set up had items missing.
