Coming off one of its best performances of the year, the Patton varsity boys soccer team capped an impressive week by defeating South Caldwell 2-1 in Northwestern 3A/4A Conference action late Wednesday night at the Catawba River Soccer Complex.

Earlier in the week, the Panthers tied Hickory 1-all on the road to remain in the upper half of the conference standings. With the Red Tornadoes losing on Wednesday, Patton (5-6-1, 2-3-1) is tied for fourth.
