South Mountain Distilling Company in Rutherford College welcomed personalities from the hit show Moonshiners including JB Rader, Red Dog, Mark, Digger, Crazy Chuck and Big Chuck from the show that airs on the Discovery Channel. The event, that hosted an estimated 3,000 people, was held to release JB’s new Honey Crisp Apple Moonshine. Thousands came out to get autographs and jars of the new moonshine. Folks came from Ohio, Virigina, Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina, West Virginia and all over North Carolina came to experience the event. Live music by Chad Triplett & Two Lane Blacktop, The Wright Family, 33 1/3, Eagle Joe Leatherman and others could be heard at the event. Sarah Burkett from the television show Naked and Afraid was also on site talking with fans and signing autographs.
