MORGANTON — Reservations are available for Burke County United Way’s signature fundraiser, Toast of the Town.

Toast of the Town gives friends of BCUW and community members an opportunity to support and invest in the children of Burke County. The organization invites people to join the festivities from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, at the Hidden Hill Venue at 6572 Burkemont Road, Morganton, for an evening of fine food and entertainment.

Visitors can enjoy breathtaking mountainside views while dancing under the stars to the rhythm of Sandra Bennett and The Riverstones.

Two amazing venue prizes have been secured. An Adventures Abound and a Head to Toe prize package are available for guests who purchase raffle tickets for the chance to win.

The Adventures Abound package includes a three-night cabin rental, a private guided hike by Kenny Fleming which includes a commemorative digital photography book, Beech Mountain ski lift tickets, ski rentals by CBS Sports, Jonas Ridge Snow Tubing passes, Bigfoot Climbing Gym passes, Appalachian State University football tickets, Silver Creek Plantation Golf Package, Grandfather Mountain passes and a seafood buffet dinner at the Eseeola Lodge.

The Head to Toe prize package features a gift certificate for a Botox Dysport Treatment from Dr. Jonathon Lowery of Morganton Eye Physicians, a six-month Premium Gym Membership and Class package from Workout Anytime, a custom stylist body and closet consultation and custom-sewn outfit from Aleshia Mathews at Manazhe Fashions, three personal training sessions at Phifer Wellness, a hot stone massage with Natasha Stanley of Body Therapy, a DoTerra Essential Oil Basket & Wellness Consultation, and a deep tissue massage with Kristen Belanger of AmaZen Day Spa

Additionally, local artist Sterling Lieske will create a live painting that will be auctioned at the end of the event, much like she did at the recent ART/RE/ART event. The painting she completed during that event is hanging in the community room at Food Matters Market & Café.

Proceeds from Toast of the Town support the Burke County United Way’s For Burke Kids — Embracing the Future Fund. Grants are awarded every year through a vetted allocation process to local organizations that provide services to local youths.

Reservations can be made at bcuw.org/toastofthetown. For more information, contact Burke County United Way at 828-433-0681.
