A man was killed in a dirt bike crash Wednesday evening.
Timothy Cook, 54, of 4292 Bollinger Gap St., was riding a KTM 100 dirt bike around on private property when he lost control of the bike and overturned several times before coming to a rest on Bollinger Gap Street, said 1st Sgt. M. Tedder with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Cook was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, Tedder said. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Brendletown Fire and Rescue and Burke EMS responded along with NCSHP.
