A man was charged after materials and tools were stolen from a construction site last week.
Jesse Lynn Ethridge, 50, of 4840 Crystal Creek Road in Morganton, was charged with larceny, second-degree burglary and driving while license revoked with additional charges pending, according to a release from the Burke County Sheriff’s Office.
Charges against Ethridge came after deputies responded to 4777 Jenkins Road in Morganton, where more than $3,000 worth of construction materials and tools were stolen, the release said.
An investigation led BCSO’s criminal investigation and narcotics divisions to Ethridge as a suspect.
Ethridge was arrested and all of the stolen items were recovered and returned to their owners, the release said.
Ethridge was confined at Burke-Catawba District Confinement Facility under a total $30,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is set for Aug. 12, the release said.
