DREXEL Mr. Charles "Rudy" Lindburg Rudisill, 91, of Drexel, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at Autumn Care Nursing Home, following a period of declining health. Charles was born June 2, 1927, in Rutherford County to the late William Guy Rudisill Sr. and Eula Burns Rudisill. He was a longtime member of Christ United Methodist Church, and veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II. Charles was an avid golfer and retired from Quaker Meadows, where he served as an assistant for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Williams Rudisill; a sister, Mary Francis Causby; and a brother, William Guy Rudisill Jr. Survivors include his nephews, Mike Causby (Erica), Chris Causby; niece, Dede Keir (Doug); three great-nephews, Maxton Causby, Ryan Causby, Kirt Abernathy (Tracy); great-niece, Gretchen Whisnant (Chuck); and great-great-nieces, Cassie Johnson, Ava Whisnant, and Braylee Whisnant. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 3, at 3 p.m., in the Mausoleum Chapel of Burke Memorial Park with Chaplain Mike Prewitt officiating. Military honors will be provided the U.S. Navy and the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.
