DREXEL Mrs. Kimberly Leigh LeFevers Evans, 50, of Drexel, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019, at Carolinas Healthcare-Blue Ridge of Morganton, following a period of declining health. Kim was born Dec. 10, 1968, in Burke County to Roy Lee LeFevers Jr. and Betty Jo Ogle. She was previously employed in the hosiery industry, and most recently worked at Ellis Hosiery. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roy LeFevers Sr., Bonnie LeFevers, and Helen Smith. In addition to her parents she is survived by her daughter, Paigelyn Nicole Powell; brother, Ronnie LeFevers and wife, Donna, of Morganton; and two sisters, Karen Chapman of Drexel, and Jackie Lowman and husband, Kevin, of Valdese. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Alisha Sidden, Shelby Molyneaux, Grant Chapman, Cody Chapman, Annie Powell and Christy LeFevers. Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 18, at 12 p.m., in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, with the Rev. Ronnie LeFevers officiating. Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese. Memorials may be sent to the family to assist with expenses c/o Jackie Lowman, P.O.
