MORGANTON Mrs. Karen Louise St. Denis Peirce, 62, of Morganton, passed away Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019, at Burke Hospice & Palliative Care, following a period of declining health. Karen was born June 13, 1957, in Middleberry, Vt., to the late Harry St. Denis and Ruth Barton Cram. She was formerly employed as a CNA in the home health care industry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jeanine Lowe and Michele St. Denis. Survivors include her husband, George Alfonzo Peirce III of the home; children, Kristie Supernor and husband, Jesse, of Morganton, Nicole Cook and husband, Curtis, of Morganton, Michelle Perry and husband, Bradley, of Lenoir, George A. Peirce IV and wife, Stella, of Morganton; one brother, Michael St. Denis; and one sister, Diane Thomas. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Page Webb, Jacob Supernor, Christiana Peirce, Nathan Supernor, Tyler Cook, McKenna Perry and Alzira Peirce, with one more on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 6, at 5 p.m., in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese. Interment will follow at a later date in Brandon, Vt. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 5 p.m., prior to the service. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Autumn Care Nursing Home, the ER Staff of Grace Hospital, Burke EMS, and Burke Hospice, for their combined care of their mother, and their support for the family.
