VALE Mildred Mull Rhoney, 97, of Vale, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019, at Carolina Caring Sherrills Ford Hospice House. Born Aug. 22, 1921, in Burke County, she was the daughter of the late Sanford Mull and Mary Tallent Mull. Her and her husband owned Pride of South Mountain Egg Service. When they retired, they started Bass Capital Mobile Park in Crescent City, Fla. Mrs. Rhoney loved working with her flowers, and she was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church of Cooksville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C.W. Rhoney Jr.; a son, David William Rhoney; three brothers, Joe Mull, Gene Mull and Tom Mull; and three sisters, Muriel Sain, Argel Miller and Corine Kirby. Survivors include a son, Steve D. Rhoney and wife, Lorraine, of Vale; a daughter, Shelia Annas and husband, Richard Keith, of Vale; two sisters, Iwilla Warlick of Vale and Ruth Ramsey of Pauline, S.C.; a brother, Houston Mull of Connelly Springs; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 12, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Vale. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 13, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tony Sayer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
