On behalf of the Historic Morganton Festival Board of Directors, we would like to say a big thank you to all the folks that made this huge weekend possible.
Thank you to all 275 volunteers and all city departments (Electric, Water, Grounds, Streets, Sanitation, CoMPAS, CoMMA, Development and Design, Finance, HR, IRMS, Legal, Public Safety and Recreation) for the outstanding job they did this past weekend with the 38th Morganton Festival! From setup to cleanup, the weekend ran smoothly and with no incidents.
Thank you to all of the local nonprofits that participated and brought such great diversity to the mix of vendors. We are proud to continue our tradition of only accepting nonprofits located in Burke County and excited for the opportunity the festival offers their fund-raising efforts.
Thank you to all our sponsors, without them, this widely popular and well attended event would not be possible. Our heartfelt thanks go to Carolina’s HealthCare System Blue Ridge, Case Farms, Pepsi, NC Education Lottery, Seiren North America, The New Herald, COMPAS X-STREAM, United Beverage, Jeff Kincaid Insurance, KICKS 103.3, CoMMA, Judge’s, Marquee Cinemas, Morganton Eye Physicians PA, Republic Services of NC, Siegwerk Environmental Inks and the city of Morganton. When you see these folks please tell them thank you for helping to make Morganton such a great place to live.
Thank you to all the citizens and visitors that came out and supported the vendors and local businesses, enjoyed the entertainment, the food and all the sights and sounds. It was the largest attended festival since 2013. As a community we should be so proud of all that we offer and that so many people enjoy coming to the place we call home!
We will see you on the streets next year, Sept. 11 and 12, 2020!
