The 2019 Freedom football team will take on a collection of former Patriot players in a 7-on-7 scrimmage on Aug. 2 at Patriots Stadium.

The event — part of “Midnight Madness,” which lasts from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. — is presented by the Patriot Touchdown Club.

The team will be selling BBQ plates for $5. Admission is also $5, but both can be purchased together for $8 in a limited pre-sale. Email for more details.

The evening’s festivities will also include a meet-and-greet for kids on the field, media day, band showcase and a preview of the team’s new game uniforms. Both JV and varsity players will take part, and they will put shoulder pads on at midnight.

This marks the third straight year that Freedom will cap its first week on the gridiron under the lights following “Late Night with Freedom Football” in 2017 and “Friday Night Madness” in 2018.
